Reports
How does LibreView merge data from multiple devices?
You can view one set of reports with data from multiple devices, including when you have switched from one smartphone to another. You can choose which devices you want included in the report; however, data from certain devices cannot be combined with others.
Note: Notes from all devices are displayed without modification. If the same note is entered on multiple devices, all instances are displayed. Data uploaded into LibreView prior to the release of version 3.0 cannot be merged.
What is the Primary Device used for reports and how can I change it?
The Primary Device determines what report set is displayed. You can change the Primary Device by clicking on the Data Sources button and un-selecting devices until the device you want is labeled “Primary Device.”
Here is how the Primary Device is determined:
FreeStyle Libre 3 app
FreeStyle Libre 3 reader
FreeStyle LibreLink App for FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor
FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader and updated readers
FreeStyle LibreLink App
FreeStyle Libre Reader
Note: Some devices and mobile apps may not be available in your country / region. Refer to the Compatible Devices article on the LibreView Support site for a list of supported devices.
How is overlapping data handled from multiple devices?
Overlapping data is handled based on which Abbott Diabetes Care devices are being combined:
- Between app and reader – App data will be presented instead of reader data in most cases, except for when there is a reader for more advanced sensors.
- Between two Apps – Data from the App with higher priority will be presented. If the Apps have equal priority, data from App having the most recent data will be used. If the same timestamp, the App with the most data has higher priority.
- Between two readers – Data from the Reader with higher priority will be presented; if the Readers have equal priority, data from Reader having the most recent data will be used. If the same timestamp, the reader with the most data has higher priority.
Note: Some devices and mobile apps may not be available in your country / region.
Note: Notes from all devices are displayed without modification. If the same note is entered on multiple devices, all instances are displayed. Data uploaded into LibreView prior to the release of version 3.0 cannot be merged.
How do I remove devices from a report?
If you want to hide data from a device in the reports, use the Data Source button while viewing the reports, which displays the name of the primary device next to the Report Settings button. Unselect the Show (eye) icon under the Show/Hide column to exclude data from that device. You can always re-select the Show icon and re-generate the reports to include it again.
Using a compatible mobile app with LibreView
What are compatible mobile apps within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio?
Compatible mobile apps within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio are mobile apps designed to work with sensors that are also within FreeStyle Libre Portfolio.
Using a compatible mobile app within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio enables you to monitor your glucose using your iPhone or Android phone with a sensor. When you scan a sensor or view sensor data using a compatible phone that’s running a mobile app within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio your glucose data is displayed directly on that device.
How do I get a compatible mobile app?
If a compatible mobile app within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio is available in your country / region, you can learn more at FreeStyleLibre.com.
How do I share app data with my doctor using LibreView?
In order to share data from your compatible mobile app within the FreeStyle Libre Portfolio with your doctor using LibreView, your doctor must set up a LibreView Professional Account and enable the Practice feature. Once this is complete, your doctor can either:
1. Send you an email from LibreView inviting you to share data, or
2. Provide you with his or her unique Practice ID.
If your doctor sent you an email, you can click on the link in the email to start sharing. If your doctor gave you a Practice ID, you will need to go into LibreView and enter the Practice ID under My Practices in your Account Settings.
If I use both a reader and a compatible mobile app, what data will appear in LibreView?
Data from all devices associated with your LibreView account will be available in LibreView. Select which devices you want to include in your reports using the Data Sources button when viewing your LibreView reports.
